Experience
Jon spent over 20 years at National Grid, an infrastructure utility based in the UK and US. During this time he held leadership roles within the treasury, investor relations and corporate finance functions. Jon has also completed independent consulting contracts with Ofwat (the UK water services regulator) and GLG Consulting, held non-executive positions at Southwark Council, is a school governor and chair of the finance and audit committee for a central London school.
Treasury
Jon has led teams delivering over £20bn of financing for companies in the National Grid group, all debt investor activity and overseen relationships with 4 credit rating agencies across 15 issuing entities.
His experience also covers implementing performance excellence processes, end-to-end business improvement and reviewing treasury systems.
Investor relations
Jon's background includes equity investor relations, global roadshows, results announcements and executive speech writing.
In addition to day-to-day IR activity, Jon's experience encompasses project managing and delivering major capital markets days in London, New York and virtually.
Communications
Complementing his finance experience, Jon is passionate about ensuring the delivery of effective internal and external communications for organisations.
This includes developing media and public stakeholder engagement strategies at Ofwat, working alongside Corporate and Parliamentary Affairs teams at National Grid and developing marketing strategies for the education sector.

Jon was a Director of several National Grid group companies from 2017 to 2023, overseeing their governance, board meetings and statutory filings.
